Words of Peace & Protection

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty."

-Psalm 91:1

Perhaps some of you remember or might have heard about Visual Faith® Ministry's online retreat called ABIDE. Launched in March of 2021 and motivated by the lock downs of the Covid-19 pandemic, it was our first attempt at an online retreat.

With a focus verse of Psalm 91:1 and an emphasis on prayer, Visual Faith® coaches provided encouragement and shared visual faith prayer practices aimed at helping participants abide with their Lord in new and creative ways. The ABIDE Retreat was anchored in God's Word to offer peace to a world under attack by an unseen enemy.

So we are very happy to bring to your attention this newly published book of devotions based on Psalm 91:

Words of Peace and Protection is a collection of 52 devotions written by 52 different women of all ages and stages in life. The devotions share their stories and reflections on various verses throughout Psalm 91.

Recently, almost half of the authors managed to meet for conversation via zoom. Some knew each other but many did not. It was an evening of fun conversation and sharing.

Three of the authors were, however,

well acquainted with each other!

Visual Faith® Ministry coaches Alli Bauck, Connie Denninger, and Pat Maier each contributed a devotion and participated in the zoom. (Can you find Connie holding up her copy of the devotional in the top zoom screenshot?)

Alli, Connie, and Pat had each shared in the ABIDE Retreat online and were happy to reflect further on Psalm 91 for this devotional. That's the amazing thing about God's Word - it speaks to us at every time and in every situation to give us exactly what we need! And considering the world we live in, don't we always need reminders of PEACE and PROTECTION from our almighty God?

You can order a copy of Words of Peace and Protection from Concordia Publishing House here:

Why not take the time to revisit Psalm 91 and perhaps reflect on your own "story" -

a time when life was hard or challenging

and God was there to protect

to give peace,

and to invite,

"Abide with Me."

I had ordered this book when I was ordering some other books from CPH and I really love it. I have been coloring the pictures in the the book as well while I meditate on the Bible verses. Thank you for all that you do.
